Set in the heart of Conservation Area, Manning’s Cottage was constructed for us to exacting standards in 2014 during which time it has proved to be a well insulated, warm and eco to run home. The layout internally is ideal with open plan living rooms light and spacious plus the four double bedrooms each having fully tiled en-suites have resulted in great family/guest flexibility. The long driveway and gardens surrounding our home continue to ensure privacy with the whole of our property enjoying sunshine throughout the day.

Stour Homes’ willingness to allow bespoke adaptation of their already distinctive building model provided us with the opportunity, advice and quality technical building expertise to create a home of individual character on our plot at Southbrook, finished to a very high standard and backed up with a comprehensive ‘after sales’ service.

After many years searching for a new house we discovered Stour Homes – a small firm run by Eddie Hudson and David Coulter whose prize-winning houses are a byword for imaginative, thoughtfully designed buildings. The workmanship and attention to detail are notable and is coupled with a first class after-sales service.  Eddie and David are on hand to give advice and were very helpful in the first few weeks of settling in when their team of professionals was always available. This company is a refreshing change and example to others.

Eddie Hudson and his team take great pride in the quality of their work, and we have found them a pleasure to deal with.  They have finished each aspect of the construction of our new home to a very high standard, which has greatly increased our enjoyment of it.

Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better experience to buying our dream home.  The patience, flexibility and consideration that David & Eddie showed to us gave us much confidence throughout the process – we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We were able to influence the final stages of the build which helped turn a house into a delightful and personal home, perfectly ready for living in.  The imagination that David & Eddie both demonstrated helped enormously in converting ideas and suggestions into reality.
